Apple's iBeacons represent some of the best and worst that science fiction has predicted. More importantly, it's already here. In essence, iBeacon is tracking technology for indoors. It does inside, what GPS does for outside. Not only is it already here, but you might well be carrying it in your pocket at this very moment.
