With their new iPhone ad, Apple wants to make you cry

Do you feel misunderstood because of your iPhone addiction? Then perhaps you can claim to be just like the star of Apple's new, heartwarming holiday iPhone ad. 

This is where I would normally provide a brief description of the ad and let you know what I think about it. But this ad is not just a collection of images and clips. It has a small, but endearing story arc, and I don't want to spoil it. 

In recent years, Google has attempted this same type of ad. But it only comes off as a cynical attempt to steal some of Apple's thunder. Samsung went as far as to hire the same girl from an Apple ad to, you know, give it more of an Apple feel.  But when Apple does, you know it is the real thing. This ad is Apple at its best. Enjoy.
